Day 1:

 

Arrival  to Georgia -Tbilisi Airport. Transfer to the Hotel.

Night Tbilisi – Free Time

Overnight in Tbilisi hotel.

Day 2:

 

Trip to Mtskheta-Town Museum- Ancient capital of Kartli (Iberia) and the UNESCO Heritage sites.

Standing at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers, one of the oldest towns in Georgia Mtskheta has been populated since the second millennium BC. It was the capital of the Eastern Georgian kingdom of Iberia from the third century BC.

Visit Jvari Monastery (VI c)  and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (XI c.)

Drive to  ,,Uplistsikhe" - Antique  Cave town

Uplistsikhe Cave Town-Fortress is situated on a rocky massif in 15 km eastwards to town Gori on the left bank of the river Mtkvari. The fortress is mentioned in chronicles from earliest times. Its history begins in the I-II millennium B.C. Uplistsikhe was an important religious, political and cultural centre in the Hellenistic and the late Antique periods (IV c. B.C. - IV c. A.D.).  The town was in its heyday as far back as the 9th - 11th centuries. In 13th century, it was ravaged by Mongols.

Archaeological excavations have revealed extraordinary artefacts of different epochs: beautiful golden, silver and bronze jewellery, magnificent samples of ceramics and sculptures.

Day 3

Kakheti – Wine Land

Telavi-Tsinandali Palace (Lunch)Sighnaghi-Bodbe/St. Nino’s grave and the Holy Spring

Today we make cultural tour & Wine tasting Tour in Kakheti region. We’ll visit one of the wine factories there and the Tsinandali Wine cellar of Al. Chavchavadze.

Telavi - the main city and administrative center of Kakheti. Sighnaghi town-museum is one of the smallest cities in Georgia. Sighnaghi is famous of wine and traditional carpets. Bodbe Monastery. On June 1, Orthodoxn Church of Georgia marks the day of St. Nino’s entrance from Cappadocia. Her tomb is still shown at the Bodbe Monastery. St. Nino has become one of the most venerated saints of the Georgian Orthodox

Church and her attribute, a Grapevine cross, is a symbol of Georgian Christianity.

Return to Tbilisi.

Day 4

Transfer to Armenia

Excursion to Echmiadzin and Zvartnots – centuries-old monuments.

Lake Sevan – amazing views, visiting national art museum.

Day 5

 

Sightseeing tour  - Visiting Garni – residence of Armenian kings (only ,,witness” of Hellenistic Epoch in Armenia III BC) and Geghard – Cave Monastery (heritage of UNESCO, IV c.);

Back to Tbilisi-Georgia.

Day 6

Kazbegi-Mountain Inspirations

Ananuri Assemble, Mleta, Gudauri, Stepantsminda (Kazbegi), Gergeti Church, Sno.

The Ananuri fortified ensemble, dating from the 17th century, is located on the left bank of the Aragvi River, along the famous original Georgian Military Highway.

 After passing  Mleta  - beautiful village in Khevi Region with wonderful views. you’ll visit Gudauri  - Georgia’s most recently developed ski-resort. Set over 2000 m In the Greater Caucasus, snow is never a problem and   its newly built hotels and cable cars offer a high quality service to the modern skier.

Kazbegi -Stepanstminda the best resort in Georgian mountains, located on the northern slopes of Main Caucasus range downhill the one of the highest mountains in the Europe (5043 m).

Gergeti Holy Trinity Church is located on a hill-top in the foothills of Mkinvartsveri peak at 2200 m from the sea level .It is built in the 14 th c.

Day 7

 

Tbilisi City Tour & farewell party (B/-/D)

After breakfast we have City Tour. Today we will visit Narikala Fortress , Old Tbilisi Sulfur Baths, the Trinity Cathedral Georgian Orthodox and Armenian Gregorian churches, a Jewish synagogue and a Turkish mosque side by side, reflecting Tbilisi's acceptance and tolerance of different religions.

In the evening Farewell Party in Georgian traditional restaurant.
