Cultural (mixed) Tour Around Georgia

Season: April-November, 2016

Duration: 7 days

Day 1: Arriving to Tbilisi airport, transfer to the Hotel.

Welcome Dinner at Georgian country house taste and make traditional food wine and ,,chacha". (-/-/D)

After rest we drive to the local country house near Tbilisi. Have welcome dinner with local cuisine. Guests will take part in, “Mtsvadi” , ,,Kachapuri”, ,,Khinkali”, and ,,Felamushi” making and of course preparing and enjoy dinner prepared by their own hands. They will also see how is made Georgian “Chacha” and will get botlled “Chacha” as a gift. After welcome dinner, transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Kakheti-Wine Land-Tsinandali Palace-Sighnaghi-Town of Love-Bodbe/St. Nino’s grave and the Miraculous Holy Spring(B/-/-)

Today we make cultural tour & Wine tasting Tour in Kakheti region. We’ll visit Shuamta Monastery, Tsinandali Palace and old Wine cellar of Al. Chavchavadze. Sighnaghi town-museum is one of the smallest cities in Georgia. Sighnaghi is famous of wine and traditional carpets. Bodbe Monastery. On June 1, Orthodoxn Church of Georgia marks the day of St. Nino’s entrance from Cappadocia. Her tomb is still shown at the Bodbe Monastery. St. Nino has become one of the most venerated saints of the Georgian Orthodox Church and her attribute, a Grapevine cross, is a symbol of Georgian Christianity. You can take a bath in Miraculous Holy spring (the Spring cured many disease).

Return to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi hotel.

Day 3:  Kutaisi–Prometheus Cave (Speleological Tour) (B/-/-)

Drive to Kutaisi  the second largest city of Georgia in its west part founded about 40 centuries ago, former capital of the west Georgian Kingdom of Colchis, to which is related the myth of Golden Fleece and Argonauts. Bagrati Temple (11th c.) and Gelati Monastery (12th c.), both are the UNESCO Heritage sites. Visiting Prometheus  Grotto.

Overnight in Kutaisi hotel. 

Day 4: Martvili Monastery VIIc.-Salkhino Palace - Dadianis' Bath and Mistical Gorge& amazing waterfalls (boat trip) (B/-/-)

Today we visit one of the most beautiful region of Georgia-Samegrelo. Visiting Martvili Monastery Complex (7 c.), beautifully situated between the valleys of two rivers near Kutaisi. Visit Prometheus Cave and Martvili Canyons – (adventure tour) where you can enjoy Boat trip. Visit ,,Dadiani's Bath", where Georgian Kings and Queens had a bath in the wild nature. After we drive to Salkhino Palace-architectural landmark of Dadianis’ summer residences. The Salkhino Palace is also known as the Kvevri Palace. The palace was constructed, on a site originally occupied by a modest royal residence in the village of Salkhino near the Martvili Church, during the reign of David Dadiani’s father Levan V Dadiani (r. 1804-1840), although the building did not assume its final shape until later. Construction materials were hauled to the site by peasants using 100 pairs of oxen and buffaloes yoked to sledges.

Day5:  Kazbegi-High Mountain Region (B/-/D)

Today we drive to Kazbegi for mountain inspirations. Visit Ananuri Assemble, Mleta, Gudauri, Stepantsminda (Kazbegi), Gergeti Church.

The Ananuri fortified ensemble, dating from the 17th century, is located on the left bank of the Aragvi River, along the famous original Georgian Military Highway. After passing  Mleta  - beautiful village in Khevi Region with wonderful views. you’ll visit Gudauri  - Georgia’s most recently developed ski-resort. Set over 2000 m In the Greater Caucasus, snow is never a problem and   its newly built hotels and cable cars offer a high quality service to the modern skier.

Kazbegi -Stepanstminda the best resort in Georgian mountains, located on the northern slopes of Main Caucasus range downhill the one of the highest mountains in the Europe (5043 m). Gergeti Holy Trinity Church is located on a hill-top in the foothills of Mkinvartsveri peak at 2200 m from the sea level .It is built in the 14 th c.

Back to Tbilisi. Overnight in Tbilisi hotel.

Day6: Mtskheta-Town Museum-Tbilisi City Tour & farewell party (B/-/D)

After breakfast we drive to Mtskheta-Town Museum,ancient capital of Kartli (Iberia) and the UNESCO Heritage sites.

Standing at the confluence of the Aragvi and Mtkvari rivers, one of the oldest towns in Georgia Mtskheta has been populated since the second millennium BC. It was the capital of the Eastern Georgian kingdom of Iberia from the third century BC. Visit Jvari Monastery (VI c)  and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (XI c.) After we drive Back to Tbilisi and have a city tour. Visit Narikala Fortress , Old Tbilisi Sulfur Baths, the Trinity Cathedral Georgian Orthodox and Armenian Gregorian churches, a Jewish synagogue and a Turkish mosque side by side, reflecting Tbilisi's acceptance and tolerance of different religions.

In the evening we have Farewell Party in Georgian traditional restaurant.

Day 7: Transfer to Tbilisi Airport –Departure. (B/-/-)
